2020 Clos de Tue Boeuf Vin Blanc
Loire, France

This is Loire Sauvignon that will make you purr with delight, it's chalky and mineral, and not overtly flamboyant. The nose is fruity with citrus and cut pineapple, alongside hints of aniseed. On the palate it is taut and exudes lemony aromas with a long, pleasing finish.

Wow, this is fresh, tightly wound and compact with lovely zip and directness. So drinkable, it’s refreshing, and satisfying, and a wine to remind us that Sauvignon blanc is so much more than the mono-stylistic wines that have over-saturated the Aussie market over the past few decades.

2020 Maenad Wine Co., Piquette of Sauvignon Blanc
Niagara

Maenads, the female followers of Dionysus were known for their “wild” behaviour, defying the expected role of women. This creation follows their muse: crafty, non-conformist, interesting and wildly delicious.
Not actually a wine, this beverage is made by adding water and a small amount of sugar to freshly pressed Sauvignon Blanc grape skins. Grape skins are full of aroma and flavour compounds, and this Piquette truly shows it. From female winemaker Yvonne Irvine, this Piquette was fermented with wild yeasts and bottled just as fermentation was ending to create a light spritz. A zesty nose full of grapefruit and orange with fresh herbal notes. At only 5.5%, this Piquette is extremely crushable, and drinks very much like a refreshing, crafty beer.
Unfiltered and bottled with lees. No Sulphites added.

2020 Clos de Tue Boeuf Vin Rouge
Loire, France

Part of the original natural wine movement in France, Clos du Tue-Boeuf are making some of the Loire’s most interesting wines, with many native, and near-extinct varietals.
Brothers Thierry and Jean-Marie Puzelat have been working the family estate since the early 1990’s, the core of their holdings an organically farmed 10 ha estate; The Clos de Tue Boeuf, in the Cheverny region of the Loire Valley. A Vin de France wine, produced exclusively from Gamay, and sourced from the vineyard belonging to a friend of the Puzelats in Touraine, that is organically farmed. Such a slurpable easy going wine, lightly fragrant and everything you want in a Gamay. Juicy and lithe, with lovely tart black and red berries, it’s supple, bright, and really refreshing, a thirst-quenching kind of wine. This is a fan favorite if there ever was one.
