2019 J. Brix Limestone + Schist Chardonnay Rorick Heritage Vineyard
Calaveras County, California
The fifth vintage of this wine is every good thing about California in a bottle, ready to show why the Golden State is so confoundingly magic. From Matthew Rorick’s iconic Wente-clone vines, planted in 1974 on their own roots, which plunge deep into the soils of limestone and schist in the land of skulls. This is a truly standout small-production Chardonnay that embodies what we love about California - it’s lemony, full of luscious tropical fruit goodness, and gives you loads of mineral delight and no overt oak. The Limestone + Schist Chardonnay is from organic own-rooted wines owned by Forlorn Hope’s Matthew Rorick, a good friend of winemakers Jody and Emily. Only 220 cases produced.

2019 Santini Collective Macon Villages
Auxey-Duresses, Burgundy, France
From natural Burgundy cult winemaker Chris Santini, a stunning and ethereal take on Macon. Bright and yet has all this lovely, hazy, oatmeal and nuttiness going on. Lemon-ginger tea, jasmine, cucumber, tonic water, cashews and saline minerality. Almost prickly with acidity or a light, barely there fizz too. Sings out of the glass. So pretty, so delicious, so vivacious! Leaps around the palate.

2019 Maison Harbour Bourgogne Chardonnay
Burgundy, France

In Savigny-les-Beaune, a village in the heart of the Côte-d'Or, Nicholas and Colleen Harbour are producing highly sought-after, ethereal Burgundian wines of finesse and transparency, where a place and time have been captured and transmitted to bottle. The wines are terroir driven, elemental and soulful. These are some of the most exciting and age-worthy Burgundies we have come across, to date. Maison Harbour wines are completely sold out globally due to demand from Europe's top Michelin-starred restaurants and private wine collectors. A tiny allocation is available here in Canada exclusively through In Wines We Trust. Perfumed floral nose with beautiful zesty citrus notes. Rich and forward in the mouth, very pleasing, with sweet spice, citrus, and hints of stone fruits. Nice depth and complexity for a Bourgogne, with good energy, focus, and a clean, acid-driven finish.
Only 24 bottles of this vintage were made available in Ontario.
