2020 Domaine de Séailles Cubik Rouge

Cubik is a soft and fruity red wine that surfaces from an ocean of white grapes in a region famous for producing Armagnac and Cognac. A medium-bodied mix of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this entices with blackberry, smoke, baking spices and white pepper. We like it saucy BBQ chicken wings and heaping plates of smoked ribs.
2021 Samantha Sheehan UV Cabernet
California, USA
An ideal version of what we consider modern California Cabernet. The texture envelops the palate and the aromatics bound out of the glass. There's bold blackberry, black cherry and a touch of cassis with cocoa, tobacco, black tea leaves and very slight hints of violets and pepperiness. This is juicy, satisfying and generous with richness on the palate, perfectly balanced tannins and a touch of acidic lift. Pair with pasta and bolognese/ragu, thick-cut NY striploins and grilled portobello mushrooms.
2022 Vignobles Pueyo Tellus Vinea
Bordeaux, France
This is mostly Merlot with a little Cabernet Franc, from two parcels near St-Emilion. Fermented and aged in stainless steel and concrete vats. The nose is full of ripe blackberry, dark plums, blackcurrant and spiced cherries alongside developing secondary aromatics of wet cedar, dried mushroom, herbaceousness and spice. The acidity is lively, the tannins are firm but well-integrated and the overall texture of the wine is so inviting and dynamic across the palate. Go for classic French pairings like duck confit and boeuf bourguignon or with meatloaf and braised short ribs.
