Maison Harbour, Bourgogne Chardonnay, 2019

Maison Harbour, Bourgogne Chardonnay, 2019

Burgundy, France

In Savigny-les-Beaune, a village in the heart of the Côte-d'Or, Nicholas and Colleen Harbour are producing highly sought-after, ethereal Burgundian wines of finesse and transparency, where a place and time have been captured and transmitted to bottle.

The wines are terroir driven, elemental and soulful. These are some of the most exciting and age-worthy Burgundies we have come across, to date.

Maison Harbour wines are completely sold out globally due to demand from Europe's top Michelin-starred restaurants and private wine collectors. A tiny allocation is available here in Canada exclusively through In Wines We Trust.

Perfumed floral nose with beautiful zesty citrus notes. Rich and forward in the mouth, very pleasing, with sweet spice, citrus, and hints of stone fruits. Nice depth and complexity for a Bourgogne, with good energy, focus, and a clean, acid-driven finish.

Food pairing recommendations include anything buttery, lightly creamy or seafood-driven. And, honestly, you can mix and match those 3 categories together very easily like butter-basted seared scallops over a creamy cauliflower puree. If you're feeling really ambitious, a few small plates to try with the wine over the course of an evening would be magical. We'd propose a menu of wild mushroom risotto, seared scallop and seared chicken with cream sauce.

Only 24 bottles of this vintage available in Ontario.
