Savoie, France
Apremont AOC

The cool climate, the mountainous terrain and the limestone-rich soils are all contributing factors to the absolutely electric acidity in this wine. The fruit notes are quite tart, the minerality is stony and there's a delicate mix of white flowers and slight bitterness on the finish. It's a light, crisp wine that fits so seamlessly with a sun-soaked aperitivo hour. It's also beautiful with the all-time Alpine classic raclette or you can enjoy it with salads, grilled white fish, antipasti or fried finger foods.

More Info

The Savoie wine region is maybe the most unheralded winemaking region in all of France. For the average wine consumer, they've never even heard of this area making wines, let alone tasted anything from there. Located close to the borders of Switzerland and Italy, this is a mountainous region with long, dry growing seasons and cool evenings. This Alpine climate is ideal for the region's most prominent grapes, especially the delightfully delicious Jacquère, which features in this particular bottling.
