2021 Fattoria Mani di Luna Litro Sangiovese - 1L large format
Umbria, Italy
Mani di Luna (hands of the moon) is a small 25 hectare farm. Three friends (Simone, Rocco and Alessandro), pratice regenerative farming with the common intent of reviving the Azienda organically + biodynamically. This sangiovese is utterly delicious with massive drinkability, freshness, authenticity, without added sulphites, just grapes and that’s it! It recalls ancient memories of vintage farm wines, sold in demijohns and then bottled at home in bottles with crown caps for everyday use. A pure expression of honest wine- simple, direct and sincere. 10 years old vines in the Torgiano hills. Organic farming spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts in cement vats, without filtration. Large formatted to enjoy with your nearest and dearest alongside a weekend spread of Italian cheese and salumis.
Beaujolais, France
Located in the south of Beaujolais, Jean-Baptiste runs his family estates and vineyards with a level of care and thought for the lands only matched by the attention to detail in the winemaking. Ripe and vibrant on the nose, with raspberry, bubblegum and cola notes mixing with some underbrush and earth. The palate is juicy and mouthfilling, but balanced by lively acidity. The red fruits are sweet and sour, but there are earthy, mushroom notes as well. Glou-Glou” means “glug glug" which is both a motto for this wine and a call to action. Serve lightly chilled and don't overthink the pairings here.
2021 Flavia Madda Rosato 1L
Sicily, Italy
The winery Flavia Rebellious Wines is run by siblings Flavia and Giacomo Rallo and it is based in Marsala, Sicily. Flavia, the young oenologist of the well-known old Rallo family’s fourth generation interprets the values of their great grandfather, the founding father by spreading the culture of quality wine and completely devoting herself to the creation of a radically new perspective of Sicilian native wines. Direct press Nerello Mascalese from the slopes of the Etna. These wines are the first Etna wines to be bottled in 1L format. Cherries, spice, herbs and orange zest on the nose, juicy and mineral on the palate. Extraordinarily delicious and so convenient that it's in a larger format because you're gonna hate when this bottle is done.
