2018 Domaine Lambert Les Terrasses
Chinon AOC, Loire Valley, France
Wild musky nose, explosive dense crunchy black fruit with a vibrant palate with light approachable tannins. Could be served slightly chilled to bring out the freshness or served slightly cooler than room temperature.
Food pairing recommendations: pork tenderloin, braised short ribs, beef tartare, cabbage rolls.
2020 Clos du Tue Boeuf Vin Rouge
A Vin de France wine, produced exclusively from Gamay, and sourced from the vineyard belonging to a friend of the Puzelats in Touraine, that is organically farmed. The vines are quite young, ranging in age from 5-30 years-old planted on clay-calcareous soils. Such a slurpable easy going wine, lightly fragrant and everything you want in a fresher style Gamay. Juicy and lithe, with lovely tart black and red berries, it’s supple, bright, and really refreshing, a thirst-quenching kind of wine. This is a fan favourite if there ever was one.
2019 Domaine des Corbillières Les Griottines
This is a super tasty, very fresh Gamay with a good amount of structure. Tastes like candied raspberry, strawberry leaf, cold spring morning. Low intervention; fermentation with native yeasts and minimal sulphur added. Full of character and delicious black currant, raspberry, and violet vibes. Can be served chilled or if it's too brrr for that serve it slightly cooler than room temp.
