2020 80X Wine Company When Pigs Fly Pinot Noir Rosé
Beamsville Bench, Ontario

Brimming with juicy cherry and watermelon notes – these juicy fruit flavours will feel like they are dancing on your tongue. Notes of pink grapefruit pith and soft rose garden make an appearance as the wine begins to finish. There is nice balanced acidity that keeps this light on the palate – but lingering juicy fruit notes remind you that the 2020 summer was a hot one! This was made with love by winemaker Adam Kern who hand squeezed the grapes that have ended up in the bottle. This is Rosé – don’t make serving it complicated – Of course this pairs with food! Serve this with whatever you want to eat, you won’t be disappointed – although we think the ideal pairing is a second glass!

2019 Traslanzas Cigales Rosado
Cigales, Spain

Located in Mucientes, Valladolid, about 800 meters above sea level, Traslanzas soils are composed of sand, limestone and clay. Cigales is a region producing 64% rosado (very cool), but much of it is made in a unique way by co-fermenting white and red grapes - Tempranillo (red) and Albillo Mayor (white). This results in a robust light red rosado packed with flavour. Serve well chilled by the poolside :)

2018 Château Les Valentines, 'Miss Valentine' Rosé
Côtes de Provence, France

In La Londe-les-Maures, on the coast between Toulon and St Tropez, in the Côtes de Provence wine region, Château Les Valentines extends over 50 hectares of schist where grapevines, pine forests and garrigue scrubland enjoy full southern exposure. The fruit used for ‘Miss Valentine’ is sourced from vineyards throughout the IGP Méditerranée and from 50 year-old vines. A very pretty, pale salmon coloured rosé with loads of bright citrus and red berry aromas. Medium-bodied with notes of ripe orchard fruit, grapefruit, citrus and wild herbs alongside hints of stony minerality. Bright acidity brings it all together in classic Provençal style. Classic food pairings for delicate rosés like this are typically grilled fish, grilled or roasted chicken, sushi, crudités and salads. Although this is a gastronomic wine, it is also wonderful to drink on its own.
