2019 Château de Roquefort Gueule de Loup
Provence, France

At the foot of the majestic Sainte Baume Massif, here is one beautiful vineyard of 24 hectares located at an altitude of almost 400 m in the hollow of a large rock circus. The particular geology of the place helps Raimond de Villeneuve to cultivate his vineyard using biodynamics, a real eco-system far from any pollution. He cultivates the traditional grapes of Provence in accordance with cosmic cycles and follows biodynamic principles. This cuvée is named after the snapdragon flower (called Gueule-de-Loup in French, literally “wolf’s mouth”) that is native to the Mediterranean. Balanced and juicy, with meaty notes on the nose. The vinification lasts two to four weeks in temperature-controlled tanks, with élevage in cement tanks (80%) and foudre (20%) - unfined and unfiltered. Packed full of wild currants and brambly berries. Full, round, silky and lifted.

2018 Las Dosces Tinto Bobal
DO Utiel-Requena, Valencia, Spain

Chozas Carrascal is one of 17 wineries with Spain’s highest designation, Vino de Pago. They have been daring in their viticulture approach, planting vines at a density of 1,335/acre (3,300/ha), far denser than any vineyards nearby. This forces vines to compete for water and nutrients and drives yields down. The vineyards grow on a slight slope. Sunlight, cool coastal breezes and loamy, chalky soil all contribute to the quality of the wines produced.
Cherry red in color with a purple rim which is typical of a young wine. This 100% Bobal wine has intense ripe red fruit notes with hints of toasting and light herbal notes. Pronounced freshness and smoothness with well balanced acidity. There’s a long satisfying aftertaste, bringing back the fruity, toasty and herbal notes. A really pleasurable red that delivers exceptional value.
Pair with braised pork, charcuteria and aged Manchego.

2018 San Lorenzo Rosso 'di Gino' Piceno
Le Marche, Italy

Family operation dedicated to the production of organic and biodynamic wines in the farm that Natalino Crognaletti inherited from his father Gino, whom in his turn had inherited it from his father Enrico. Natalino lives on the estate with his wife, son, mother and the numerous farm animals for which he names his wines.
60% Montepulciano and 40% Sangiovese all hand harvested from organic vineyards of 4 hectares in Ostra Vetere, with southern exposure. Native fermentation. Aromatic, lifted, and fresh. Blackberries and spices on the nose. Tons of sour cherry. Super easy going tannins. Serve it with a little chill.
