2020 Domaine de Majas Blanc
Côtes Catalanes AOC, Languedoc-Roussillon, France

Tom Lubbe’s (Matassa) project with with Alain Carrère in the Côtes Catalanes in Languedoc-Roussillon. Vines are just north-east of the Pyrenees mountains in the Fenouillèdes area, 400 metres above sea level, on clay, limestone, and schist soils. The estate is run by Agnes and Alain Carrère, who aim for as little intervention as possible. Both wines are grown organically (certified since 2001), fermented with native yeasts in cement vats and bottled without filtration or fining, resulting in freshness of fruit and lively minerality. Elegant, acid and terroir driven wines.A clean and pure natural wine coming from the sensational Domaine de Majas. Macabeu, Rolle and Carignan Blanc are blended together to deliver this fine mix of citrus, stone fruit and hay that's ready to cleanse your palate and leave a lasting impression on the finish. The price-quality ratio is out of control on this one.

2019 Santini Collective Beaujolais Supérieur
Beaujolais, France

This fruit comes from much vaunted cult Burgundy producer Pacalet vines. Light and fine, faintly juicy but more about this sleek, slinky feel and kirsch-meets-amaro-like characters. Lithe and pretty wine, so easy to drink. Wonderful sense of vitality and energy. Thirst-quencher galore.

2015 Clos de Tue Boeuf Coteaux du Giennois
Loire, France

This blend of Gamay (mostly) and Pinot Noir is a wine with the typical acidity of natural wines. Ripe black fruit, a zest of substance, freshness, this is the kind of wine you want to open under the shade of the cherry tree in the garden or crush with a great cheese and charcuterie board by the fireplace.
