This 3 pack contains one bottle of each wine and is pictured in our plant-based, planet-friendly premium packaging:

2020 Tenuta Macchiarola Tippi Rosato Frizzante
Puglia, Italy

Tippi di Tenuta Macchiarola is a fresh and drinkable sparkling wine that comes from Primitivo grapes in pureza with the method of refermentation in the bottle. The aromas are fragrant and intense on the nose, while on the palate it is very fresh and balanced. A wine that has its freshness and ease of drinking. Excellent paired with salami appetizers, pasta dishes, fish main courses like swordfish chops cooked in sauce.

2020 Herve Villemade Bovin Gamay 1L
Vin de France, Loire, France

You're probably wondering why this bottle looks like it was rolled across every road from the winery in France to Ontario. Well, these liter bottles used to be the norm for local negotiants in the 50's and 60's. Since these aren't produced anymore, Hervé obtains them second-hand which means the bottles might not match, may be discoloured, scratched or all types of banged up. Some of them are actually milk bottles that have been continuously used until they are then up-cycled to the winery for bottling wine. Fun!

Anywho (or any-moooooo?) this Gamay is aged 4 months in concrete tanks, glou-glou style, bottled unfined, unfiltered and without any additional SO2. Aromas of raspberry, blueberry, chocolate and the ubiquitous garrigue. Light tannins, like the kind you get from black teas, complement the black cherry, blueberry, lavender, thyme and modest acidity. There's a little black currant and baking chocolate that just kinda hangout on the palate in between sips.

2020 Normanno Ciello Rosso
Sicily, Italy

100% Nero D'Avola from organic vineyards in western Sicily, not far from Marsala, made naturally all in steel. Dark blue and purple fruit that's ripe, but not heavy. We love how much of a loop this wine throws you for with it's inky color but restrained weight and texture. Typically, Nero D'Avola produces much more intense interpretations with higher alcohol and more density/weight but this is perfect for any time, any day drinking. We adore this with pizza and pasta but you can also nightcap it after dinner.
