2021 Barraco Fior di Bianco

Nino Barraco's wines come with an uncanny sense of place. With each swirl and sip, they transport you to Marsala; the warmth, the breeze, the golden light and the sense that the sea is never too far away. They are savoury, sun-kissed wines that, like Nino, have a lot to say. From Nino's youngest vines planted over sand, this is mostly Grillo, with a little Catarratto and a touch of Zibibbo in the mix. The grapes were fermented on the skins for just a day, before being pressed off to vats for a short rest. The result is a pretty and perfumed wine that takes you straight to the Sicilian seaside with its citrus, wildflowers, sea salt and brine. A wonderful aperitif that has a natural affinity with anything from the sea.

2021 Vino Lauria Vino a Gogo Rosato

Vito Lauria is a master of organic agriculture. His wines weave a family tradition that has lasted for generations in a contemporary and sought wisdom in the art of making wine. It comes from a deep and thorough knowledge of the Sicilian lands, but also from the creative ability to reach excellent combinations (and never dared) between the grapes. This rosato is dry, zesty & lightly floral with a lovely bit of complexity. Sicilian grape Frappato brings whimsical, perfumed fruit while Nero d’Avola brings depth. Cold macerated and aged for 8 months in tank, think fresh notes of grapefruit pith, white raspberry, canned peach parfait & dried rose petals with a tangy, crisp finish.

2007-2010 Fondo Bozzole Incantabiss Lambrusco Mantovano

Southeast of Emilia-Romagna, across the River Po, Lambrusco Mantovano DOC is the only appellation outside of Emilia-Romagna producing Lambrusco. Brothers Franco and Mario Accorsi farm their small parcels of old vineyards organically, amidst pears and apples, and have resurrected nearly forgotten varietals of Lambrusco – Lombardy natives, and cousins to the more famous Emilia-Romagna varietals. This hand harvested and natively fermented Lambrusco is the fizz dreams are made of. Crunchy red currants and super fine bubbles that tickle your nose and tongue - dancing on your tongue like pop rock candy. Tart raspberry yogurt – like a sweet-tart, with a really cool bitter-herbal edge. Explosive cherry blaster vibes. The perfect wine to pair with a wood fire oven pizza on a cool October evening.

2021 Tenuta Macchiarola Bizona Primitivo

"The future of Puglia is in natural agriculture", says Tenuta Macchiarola winemaker Nico Mangione ..."there's no other way forward." 100% organic and biodynamic Primitivo from the earliest harvest of grapes in Salento. Whole cluster, brief 8 day maceration, natural fermentation in stainless steel before aging in stainless and cement. Nico calls it "Blue Wine" because of the distinct blue/violet color of the freshly run juice. Lively, light, playful, very fresh, abest served chilled. The Bizona arises from Domenico Mangione’s desire to produce a Puglian red that eschews the traditional local style of Primitivo – fresh, drinkable, and more direct, with lower alcohol and the potential to be chilled in the cooler for 10 -15 minutes; essentially something that has vin de soif written all over it. Brimming with juicy blue/blackberry fruit, menthol and pine-y freshness – it’s taut, crushable, and ready to be put back with abandon amongst family and friends.

2021 Fattoria Mani di Luna Litro Sangiovese - 1L large format

Mani di Luna (hands of the moon) is a small 25 hectare farm. Three friends (Simone, Rocco and Alessandro), pratice regenerative farming with the common intent of reviving the Azienda organically + biodynamically. This sangiovese is utterly delicious with massive drinkability, freshness, authenticity, without added sulphites, just grapes and that’s it! It recalls ancient memories of vintage farm wines, sold in demijohns and then bottled at home in bottles with crown caps for everyday use. A pure expression of honest wine- simple, direct and sincere. 10 years old vines in the Torgiano hills. Organic farming spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts in cement vats, without filtration. Large formatted to enjoy with your nearest and dearest alongside a weekend spread of Italian cheese and salumis.

2021 Flavia Etna Rosso - 1L large format

Flavia Rallo—a young wine producer of the fourth generation of the historic Rallo family is interpreting the values of her great grandfather—spreading the culture of good wine and quality products of their territory by completely dedicating themselves to the creation of native Sicilian wines. The passion for work, excellent intuition and commitment have led to the production of natural wines from certified organic fruit, unfiltered, and with very low sulphite contents. These wines, with their lively freshness, come from the historic vineyards owned by the Rallo family since 1860. They are located between Contrada Birgi and Paolini, a stone’s throw from the Riserva dello Stagnone and the historic Marsala salt pans. This wine, made from 100% old-vine Nerello Mascalese, is from a family that has owned vineyards and made wine on Etna since 1860. Brother and sister winemaking team Giacomo and Flavia Rallo have taken the lead in continuing the tradition of making organic, natural wines to best showcase their family’s vineyards. The vines, between 20 and 30 years old, come from some of the best terroirs on the volcano: the North Slope of Mount Etna, at 3000 ft altitude and on sandy volcanic soils. They are farmed organically, hand-harvested, wild yeast fermented in stainless steel, then aged 12 months in used Slovenian oak. This is the epitome of Mount Etna, with smoky dark juicy fruit, notes of meat, spicy, with a long, elegant, delicious finish. This is the ONLY wine in Liter large format coming off the volcano. Enjoy with porchetta, fresh san marzano pasta, or classic sicilian seafood.
