2022 Les Terres d'Ocre Instan T Blanc
Loire, France
A blend mostly of Chardonnay with a smaller proportion of Tressallier, all grown organically. The grapes are vinified separately with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. This is marked with great minerality but also offers a ton of citrus, pear, peach, flowers and light honey notes on the nose. It's easy-drinking, wonderfully fruity and fresh with a gorgeous expression of minerality throughout the palate. Light to medium bodied and a great compliment to salmon, asparagus, quiche Florentine or battered Haddock with brussels sprouts.
2021 Staffelter Hof Schiefer Riesling "Pandemonium"
Mosel, Germany
Part of the winery's more classically-styled Mosel wines, although with a low-intervention minded approach, the Schiefer Riesling, dubbed "Pandemonium", stands out for it's low alcohol but bracingly high acidity style. A dry, intensely crisp and refreshing Riesling with tons of citrus and mineral characteristics. This wine is at the intersection of "not too fussy, open and enjoy anytime" and "thought-provoking and underrated complexity". Very compelling and extremely delicious!
2022 Vino Lauria 'Terra Madre' Chardonnay
Sicily, Italy
A classic, unoaked, organic and biodynamic Chardonnay from master organic viticulturist Vito Lauria. Terra Madre is a highly drinkable, versatile wine for everyday. Bone dry with notes of fleshy pear and crisp, brisk lemon, without being too exuberant.
