2020 Salcheto Obvius Bianco
Tuscany, Italy

Obvius is Salcheto's all-natural lineup and the Bianco Toscana is a slick mix of organically and biodynamically farmed Trebbiano and Vermentino. This is bursting with ripe pear, dark honey, bramble and earthiness tied into this savoury element that underpins the funk. A soft pear and honey flavour hits your palate in tandem with Meyer lemon and beeswax alongside a medium-bodied expression to the finish. Spy a little of that yeasty character and that delicious savoury funk to tick all the boxes on the natural wine lovers' checklist of must-haves. This is so easy-drinking and kinda like a big umami bomb.

2020 Maenad Wine Co. Skin Fermented Chardonnay
St. David's Bench, Niagara

This Chardonnay was hand picked from the St. David's Bench sub-appellation, then de-stemmed with partial crushing and fermented on skins for 14 days. The wine then went through malolactic fermentation in mostly neutral French oak barrels with a small portion in stainless steel. Aged 7 months before bottling.
This wine’s inspiration is texture! Structure from tannins in the skins, combined with a certain roundness and richness creates an overall balance and textural experience. Tons of beautiful Niagara stone fruit, complex and layered.
Unfiltered and bottled with lees. No Sulphites added.


2020 Ciello Baglio Antico Bianco Catarratto  
Sicily, Italy

This Catarratto, made from grapes grown in the Sicilian hills to the west of Palermo, is designed to be bursting with character and flavour. It's left to macerate on its skins after pressing which gives an extra dimension and depth to the flavours. It has ripe peachy and tangy pink-grapefruit aromas which contrast nicely with the almost marmalade and spicy ginger notes on the tongue. Altogether tangy and dry it's quite a bold number, but certainly worth taking the time to appreciate. Very food-friendly, especially with pastas and spicy Southeast Asian cuisines.
