Burgundian micro-domaine and estate Vin Noé is the project of young Californian winemaker Jonathan Purcell. After graduating from his studies in Beaune, Jonathan built an impressive resume working as a tractor operator at Domaine de Montille and also for many years under the legendary Philippe Pacalet.

Jonathan established Vin Noé in 2016, based out of a 100-year old cuverie in Auxey-Duresses. Wines are produced using purchased grapes from the Mâcon, Beaujolais, and more recently from leased sites in Puligny-Montrachet and Saint Aubin. Jonathan takes a handsoff approach in the cellar, using wild yeast fermentation, zero sulphur additions and gently transferring wines without the use of a pump. Inspired by his work at Pacalet, Jonathan often opts for longer macerations with whole clusters, resulting in wines with deep and complex aromatics.

This 3 pack contains one bottle of each:

2019 Vin Noé Gueule D’Amour Bourgogne Rouge
Burgundy, France

From two parcels of vines, each about 40 years-old, one on granitic soil, the other red-clay over limestone, both of which are farmed organically. High-toned ocean spray cranberry vibes, black raspberries, leather and forest floor. An unconventional Burgundy. No fining, no filtration, no sulfur, no makeup. Pure yum!

2019 Vin Noé, Rêve Américain
AOP Pommard, Burgundy, France

Rêve Américain is from three different plots in Pommard. 50% from Les Noizons (70-year-old vines), 25% from La Croix Blanche (90-year-old vines), and 25% from Le Poisot (50-year-old vines). An epic, understated interpretation of this super appellation in Burgundy. Phenomenal structure and silky but noticeable tannins are well integrated into the heart of this wine: pure, crystalline red fruit. Earth, forest undergrowth and hints of wild mushrooms tie this together into a stunning package that represents the "new" Pommard.

2019 Vin Noé, Julienas 'Julie&NAS'
Beaujolais, France

100% whole bunch Gamay, semi-carbonic and aged in old barrels. A lot of manual work with a tub and a wood press. Nothing added, nothing taken away. Pretty and romantic. Full of wild berries and soft herbs, bursting with minerality. Fresh AF. Crushable factor = 10.
