The family has been involved in winegrowing since 1862, but it was the marriage of André Bonnet and Monique Ponson in 1957 that marked the creation of the Bonnet-Ponson estate. They acquired new plots, built the current winery, and grew the business over the years. Cyril Bonnet, the grandson, now runs the family estate, which covers 10 hectares spread over the Premiers Crus Chamery, Vrigny and Coulommes-la-Montagne.
NV Cuvée Perpétuelle Non-Dosé Rosé 1er Cru
A classic blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.
Aromas of red fruits, citrus peel and spice. The palate reveals delicate strawberry, raspberry and lemon peel notes anchored to a deep note of fresh brioche and toasted sour dough. Touches of herbaceousness in the background add spots of complexity. No dosage.
Winemaking: 40% blend of reserve wines
Aging: 8 months in stainless steel tanks and old oak, sur lie, 48 months in bottle
NV Seconde Nature Chamery 1er Cru
Pinot Noir 45%, Chardonnay 40%, Pinot Meunier 15%
Floral, citrus, passionfruit, anise and buttery toast on the nose. On the palate, an intensity of gingerbread, dried apricot, lemon custard and lightly toasted almond.
Fermentated with indigenous yests and aged for 9 months in old oak 85% and 24 months on lees. No dosage.
