Vino Lauria Vino A Gogo Syrah 2023
Sicily, Italy
Vito Lauria is a master of organic agriculture. His wines weave a family tradition that has lasted for generations in a contemporary and sought wisdom in the art of making wine. It comes from a deep and thorough knowledge of the Sicilian lands, but also from the creative ability to reach excellent combinations (and never dared) between the grapes.
Sun-soaked Sicilian Syrah so scrumptious we had to alliterate about this juicy little number. This is fruity and vivacious with appealing notes of cranberry, raspberry and dark cherries plus some earthiness and perfumed floral notes. Very fresh and bone dry, there's delicacy behind the explosive fruit, light tannins and blazing acidity.

Villa Job Gustafeste 2019
Fiuli, Italy
Alessandro Job is passionate about the vineyard, but also about the relationship between humans and the earth. He likes to say that wine isn’t just a product, but a reflection of the winegrower's ideas and passion. The Villa Job estate is located in Zugliano, in the heart of Friuli and covers 6.5 hectares of vineyards. An electrifying wine from Venezia Giulia. Two months of maceration on Pinot grigio skins followed by two years in neutral barrels giving this ramato the most ravishing pale red colour. The wine is fragrant with aromatic notes of wildflowers, eucalyptus, honey and chamomile tea. Bright on the palate, with textured tannins, ending with a refreshing acidity.
Folk Machine Central Coast Pinot Noir 2022
Sonoma Valley, California, USA
Sonoma Valley, California, USA
Kenny Likitprakong is a winemaker who likes to experiment. His ideas and preferences for wine are constantly evolving. When you meet him, you realise that you are dealing with a thoughtful, precise, and transparent winemaker. His wines tell a story. They are a testimony to a place. The vineyards where the grapes come from are all managed according to a sustainable development philosophy. A fun, elegant, pretty Pinot to drink this evening. The extraction was very gentle, so the wine has more finesse than typical Californian Pinots. Although light in colour, the wine lacks neither flavour nor body, but rather shows the more subtle silkiness of Pinot. With its ethereal fruit and lovely spicy notes, Central Coast is a truly all-purpose wine in terms of food pairing. A staple to be served often and in good company.
