Located in the in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, the Beckham Estate was founded in the early-to-mid 2000s by a couple who originally had their hearts set on opening a ceramics studio. Today, they're the foremost producer of amphorae in the US. Inspired by Elisabetta Foradori's choice of winemaking vessel and combining Andrew Beckham's background as a ceramics artist and ceramics professor, has brought an even greater renown to their amphorae production.
Amphora Blanc is indeed fermented and aged in their class-leading, hand-crafted terra-cotta amphora and is a too-many-to-count blend of Auxerrois, Ehrenfelser, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Scheurebe, Sylvaner, Viognier and Riesling. The results are bone dry, crisp and refreshing with notes of lemon, lime, peach, yellow apple and a light floral aromatic. Complex and contemplative wine with intensity and depth.
This couldn't be more perfect for sushi, absolutely killer combo.
