Emilia-Romagna, Italy
An indigenous variety, Spergola, from Cinque Campi in Emilia-Romagna blended with the floral Muscat grape. The estate has been in the Nizzoli family for over 200 years, with wine at the centre of all they do. Grapes are hand harvested, destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks on skins for five days. The juice is moved to mature in concrete tanks for 12 months before bottling. No additions whatsoever for Bora Lunga.
It has a homely and tropical set of aromas, especially green pineapple and apple crumble. The texture is centred on a pink grapefruit bright light acidity, with a river stone hit and silky tannins. Its a dignified kinda wine, elegantly orange.
