Cinque Campi, Particella 128, 2019

Emilia-Romagna, Italy

Cinque Campi is a family estate passed down from father to son in the Nizzoli family for more than 200 years. The name means "Five Fields" and refers to their historical vineyards. The vines for this Spumante Metodo Classico are located on three different lots: the historic "Cinque Campi", which faces east; "Le Marcone", which faces west; and two new lots "Botteghe" and "La Bora Lunga", which face southwest. The clayey soil of the region (20% sand, 45% silt, 35% clay), contributes to the cultivation of native grape varieties like Malbo Gentile and Spergola; as well as varieties such as Lambrusco Grasparossa, Marzemino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscat and Carmenere.
Traditional method Spergola spends 9 months on lees. Particella 128 is a sparkling wine that is characterized by a fresh, savory and full character. The nose expresses delicate floral, fruity and citrus aromas with mineral notes while the palate is fresh &  lively. This has excellent drinkability!
