IGP Terre Siciliane
A small Catarratto vineyard planted in the mountains of western Sicily, part of the historic family vineyards of the Di Giovannas in Contessa Entellina. This part of Sicily is dry and breezy while the soil is rich in minerals. The wine is aged for 9 months in bottle which gives a lightly sparkling Petillant Naturel style. The wine is not disgorged so you will find sediment and tartrates.
Hazy, bright yellow colour. Loads of sweet Sicilian lemon, tart apple, green mango and papaya aromatics alongside lightly bready/yeasty complexions. The body is light and crisp, with refreshing acidity and bubbles. On the palate, there's tons of citrus, stone fruit, tropical fruit and delicate notes of fresh baked bread. There's a very delicate and highly pleasing 10 g/L of residual sugar to give it a light pop of sweetness on the palate.
The entire production run totals 5,000 bottles.
