The Nicolas family are traditionally based in the Loire region, making stunning wines from thirty plots spread over multiple communes. In 2017, they decided to expand beyond their geographic limits and started making wines under a second label, Les Arches de Belliviere, sourcing fruit from the Rhone and other parts of Southeast France.
The fruit from this wine comes from around the Ventoux region, comprised of 80% Grenache and 20% Aubun, a local variety that bears some similarities to Carignan.
