Flavia Rallo—a young wine producer of the fourth generation of the historic Rallo family is interpreting the values of her great grandfather—spreading the culture of good wine and quality products of their territory by completely dedicating themselves to the creation of native Sicilian wines. The passion for work, excellent intuition and commitment have led to the production of natural wines from certified organic fruit, unfiltered, and with very low sulphite contents.
These wines, with their lively freshness, come from the historic vineyards owned by the Rallo family since 1860. They are located between Contrada Birgi and Paolini, a stone’s throw from the Riserva dello Stagnone and the historic Marsala salt pans. This wine, made from 100% old-vine Nerello Mascalese, is from a family that has owned vineyards and made wine on Etna since 1860. Brother and sister winemaking team Giacomo and Flavia Rallo have taken the lead in continuing the tradition of making organic, natural wines to best showcase their family’s vineyards.
These wines are the first Etna wines to be bottled in 1L format. Cherries, spice, herbs and orange zest on the nose, juicy and mineral on the palate. Extraordinarily delicious and so convenient that it's in a larger format because you're gonna hate when this bottle is done. Pair with mild meats, delicate seafood like shrimp and scallops, cheesy risotto, eggplant caponata pasta, chicken meatballs or a fried starter like arancini.
