DO Alenquer
Fresh & vibrant alert y'all. A mish-mash of Marsanne, Viognier, Chardonnay and the native Portuguese varietal Arinto, this racy white is balanced and finely textured. There's a harmony of fruity and heavy citrus flavours with a dash of green tea complexity and fresh exotic fruits. There's intensity and lively acidity but with balance and finesse.
This is fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, so no oak for the wood-in-white-wine-averse.
Ideal as an aperitif but enough there to go hand in hand with a fresh salad, sushi, steamed and lightly seasoned seafoods or creamy pastas.
