Skurnik Wines, The Pinot Project, 2019
Central + North Coast California
The Pinot Project began in 2009 with a vision: a wine for the palate, the pocket, and the people. Michael and Harmon Skurnik reached out to their friends in California’s Coastal Regions to help them craft a silky, fruit-forward, and well-balanced Pinot Noir. The Pinot Project is now widely recognized as one of the best wine values in the world. Named by Shanken’s Impact as a “Hot Prospect” brand in 2018 and 2019, the wines consistently score above 90 points from major wine publications.
Deep garnet in colour with aromas of pomegranate and baking spice. Balanced on the palate with notes of dark cherry, blackberry and cacao with a smooth, lingering finish.
"Pure and expressive, this wine is more than just fruity, adding enticing black-tea and forest-floor notes to its tasty cherry and rhubarb core. Medium to full bodied, it offers fine-grained tannins to firm up the texture. This is the third excellent vintage in a row for this remarkable value wine. Best Buy." - 91pts Wine Enthusiast
